A Calm Luxury Escape Rooted in Nature

A refined accommodation experience designed for rest, warmth, and quiet elegance — set among century-old olive trees in the hills of eastern Crete.

A quiet house among hundred-year-old olive trees

Olive Grove House is a small, family-kept stay in the village of Mardati — ten minutes from the sea, a world away from the noise. We built a calm, modern house in the middle of our olive grove and left the rest to the land: the light, the cicadas, the long shadows of late afternoon.

Open to the light, wrapped in the grove

The pool on the terrace, the Lasithi mountains rolling away behind it
The living room sofa facing the terrace, the pool and hills framed in the doors
Sunrise over the house, the olive grove and the sea beyond
The kitchen — white cabinets, a floral splashback and the big station clock
Sunset over the pool — the steps, the banana palms and the hills turning gold
The pool bedroom — natural linen and a splash of terracotta
From above the house, the road winds down to Agios Nikolaos and Mirabello Bay
The entrance — white chairs, a pot of red roses and the open door
The pool lit blue at dusk, palms silhouetted against the last light

Between the mountains and Mirabello Bay

Mardati sits in the green hills above Agios Nikolaos — close enough for harbour dinners and morning swims, far enough that the loudest sound at night is the wind in the trees. Beaches, mountain plateaus, and family tavernas are all minutes away.
